He will work alongside SynthEyes creator Dr. Russ Andersson to help drive the advanced 3D camera solve application forward to meet the ever-growing demands of artists working on Hollywood's most popular projects. “Moritz is regarded within the post-production software community for his high-impact product roles at Foundry, MAXON, and Blackmagic Design. We’re delighted to have him as our new SynthEyes product manager,” says Boris Yamnitsky, CEO/Founder of Boris FX. “His keen understanding of our ecosystem and eagerness to enhance SynthEyes through deep analysis, user engagement, and relationship building will prove a valuable asset to SynthEyes and the larger Boris FX audience.” “SynthEyes is the magical bridge that integrates digital elements with live-action footage — an essential VFX workflow,” states Fortmann. “I’m excited to team up with Dr. Andersson to help further develop the 3D tracking and matchmove tools needed to seamlessly bridge the gap between stunning cinematography, plates, and CGI elements. We can’t wait to share new features and workflows that offer artists even greater control and time-saving benefits.” “When SynthEyes joined the Boris FX family last year, it instantly expanded the product’s technical and creative resources for the better,” remarks Dr. Andersson. “Now, after over twenty years as the solo developer and expert trainer, I’m elated to present our users with a dedicated product champion as focused, knowledgeable, and kind as Moritz.” [Learn more about Boris FX SynthEyes](https://borisfx.com/products/syntheyes/). ### Media Contact Jessie Electa Petrov Director of Marketing, Boris FX jessiep@borisfx.com 617.451.9900 [Press Release](https://blog.borisfx.com/press/tag/press-release) ## Similar posts SynthEyes ### [AI Motion Estimation Drives Precise 3D Tracking in Boris FX SynthEyes](https://blog.borisfx.com/press/ai-motion-estimation-powers-precise-3d-tracking-in-boris-fx-syntheyes) The 2025.5 release helps matchmove artists solve complex shots faster, delivers unified exports across popular 3D and VFX platforms, and more.
