Miami, Florida, U.S.A. — March 5, 2026 — Boris FX CrumplePop, known for its easy-to-use AI audio restoration tools, sings a new song with its 2026 release. SoundApp, the standalone application included in CrumplePop, expands into music and cinematic production demixing and stem separation. The release features three advanced AI separation models, GPU-accelerated on-the-fly processing to quickly find and isolate specific audio segments, and a redesigned user interface. SoundApp’s simple workflow delivers professional audio flexibility, making it ideal for video editors, content creators, podcasters, filmmakers, and music makers.
“One of the biggest advantages of CrumplePop’s new SoundApp is that anyone can use it. Gone are the days of reopening your NLE or DAW and frantically searching through archived folders or drives for the original files, or worrying about whether you'll be able to go back and isolate or readjust specific sections of your mixed-down, exported audio file,” says Patrick Donohoe, CrumplePop product manager. “Everything is processed locally on your computer with no export limits and no need to upload to a cloud. Files stay secure and private, which is especially vital for stem separation.”

A New SoundApp
SoundApp has been redesigned from top to bottom, with a user-friendly interface focused on music and pro audio production. It also features an updated model manager that helps users clearly understand which features each model includes.
Unlike most stem separation/demixing tools, which require users to import or upload a track and wait for the full file to process before skimming, previewing, and making edits, SoundApp takes an industry-first approach. Users can select exactly where processing begins and freely skim the file for the exact location they are looking for, saving time and frustration.
SoundApp’s new visualization tools allow users to watch waveforms separate and adapt immediately to any setting changes as they start demixing. Waveforms can be viewed as combined or separate, depending on a user’s preference. This dynamic feature makes it easy to identify audio regions and diagnose potential issues.

Music Separation
Music 4 Stems is a fast, flexible, and intuitive workflow. It allows video editors, aspiring remixers, and music makers to import final mixes and automatically splits songs into Vocals, Drums, Bass, and Other (guitars, synth, melodic instruments). Isolating or removing instruments, readjusting levels, and reworking audio mixes is effortless. Each stem delivers clean, exportable audio tracks that give users total creative control when dropped onto a timeline.
Voice 2 Stems isolates voices from music or other background material without needing access to full multi-track projects. It can be used to create instrumental or karaoke tracks, isolate vocals for sampling and remixing, or reduce music that pops in the background. Additionally, video editors, content creators, and podcasters can use Voice 2 Stems to cleanly isolate vocals and dialogue, removing distractions, such as headphone bleed and room tone.

Cinematic Demixing
Cinema 4 Stems uses a bleeding-edge model to immediately split any video or audio file into four separate tracks: Voice, Music, Sound Effects, and Other. Users simply import a final video or audio file directly into SoundApp, make any necessary adjustments, and export without the extra steps of reopening an NLE or searching through archival folders/drives.
The editable workflow allows video editors, content creators, and podcasters to easily pull dialogue to reuse in other projects (highlight reels, promos, social posts), export original sound FX for future continuity, or remove music from a video that no longer has clearance.

Audio Clean Up
SoundApp also includes advanced AI audio restoration models that produce clearer voiceovers and enhance dialogue. Users facing common audio recording issues, such as noise, wind, traffic, echo, room tone, and uneven levels, can easily remove them with a single click, while also improving vocal clarity.
