Emmys 2025: Round-Up

The post-production teams who help bring everyone's favorite TV and streaming shows to life celebrated their achievements at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards this past weekend. You can catch an edited version of the ceremony on Saturday, September 13th at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FXX or stream it on Hulu through October 7th. 

What a great night for the Boris FX community! We're thrilled to see over 15 of our customers directly nominated and so many more who helped bring the winning projects to life. A huge congratulations to all the nominees, winners, and artists. Thank you for using your incredible talent to make us laugh, tear up, and sit on the edge of our seats.

And if you didn't already hear, Continuum is the proud recipient of a 2025 Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy® Award! We'll be heading to LA to attend the awards ceremony in October. 

Outstanding Special Visual Effects In A Single Episode

The VFX family from The Penguin (HBO Max) won the Emmy for their work on episode 3 "Bliss." VFX Editor — and first-time winner — Erin Sullivan, dives into the scope of her role on the prestigious series, using Mocha AE, and how to be a good creative partner.

The editing team from The Penguin (HBO Max), Henk van Eeghen, ACE, Meg Reticker, and Andy Keir, were each nominated individually on three different episodes. Discover how they dealt with perspective changes, managing tone with minimal music, and staying organized.

on Ladies & Gentlemen...50 Years of SNL Music (NBC). Editors James Lester and Oz Rodríguez (also co-director), two of the three nominees (the additional editor/nominee was F. Michael Young), discuss why so many editors are also musicians, the value of a great assistant editor, and more.
