Miami, Florida, U.S.A — April 6, 2025 — Attendees of the annual NAB tradeshow in Las Vegas (April 6-9) will be the first to experience live demos of powerful new AI features developed by the award-winning team at Boris FX. The 2025 update to the Boris FX Suite allows artists to focus more of their efforts on creative storytelling by reducing the time spent on everyday technical tasks with precise, automated workflows.

“The energy at NAB is always electric. It’s a breeding ground for new ideas and tools,” states Boris Yamnitsky, President and Founder of Boris FX. “We debuted our first AI filters and tools at NAB last year and are thrilled to share what we’ve added since. It’s imperative that we leverage AI technology to help everyone achieve their artistic goals.”

AI Tools

Continuum now includes 6 AI features with the addition of realistic and precise motion blur and instant license plate detection, tracking, and blurring.

Mocha Pro introduces its first AI tools. The new Object Brush and Matte Assist tools drastically speed up tracking, object removals, and 3D camera solve workflows.

SynthEyes adds AI-driven masking that helps matchmove artists quickly isolate 3D moving objects and dynamic elements like water and clouds.

Silhouette saves rotoscope artists hours of time on repetitive tasks like garbage masks and temp comps using new Matte Assist and Mask nodes, while the Retime node eliminates the tedious nature of time warps.

CrumplePop adds a new Voice Enhance AI plugin that transforms audio recordings from Zoom, cell phone, and laptop mic recordings into professional studio-level sound with a single click.

Optics ushers in AI-driven photo/still image masking. Photographers can then use the masks to apply or isolate presets across ten cinematic filter categories.

Creative Effects and Transitions

Sapphire delivers a VHS Damage effect that recreates the nostalgic look of 1980s analog video with textures crafted from sourced original tapes. It also adds an ethereal Dissolve Light Leaks transition, 8 new lens flares in its popular Light & Flares category, and 50+ professionally-designed presets across effects, such as Dust, Grid, UltraZap, and the Effect Builder.

Continuum adds 4 new transitions (BCC+ Smoke & Fog, BCC+ Smoke Wipe, BCC+ Atmospheric Glow Dissolve, BCC+ Orbs Dissolve), 6 updated effects, the ability to create loop animations and extend animations in Particle Illusion using the repeat animation feature, and over 200 drag and drop presets.
